The flag of Kurdistan is a tricolor consisting of three equal horizontal bands, red, white and green, with a centered gold sun emblem. The sun emblem consists of 21 rays, equal in size and shape (ref. Kurdish Institute of Paris). The region of Kurdistan is populated predominantly by ethnic Kurdish people and includes parts of southeastern Turkey, northern Syria, northern Iraq and western Iran.

They are attached to the flagpole by means of a halyard (rope) and flag snaps, or to smaller poles with flag fasteners. Kurdistan outdoor flags are stocked in 3x5 ft. printed / dyed.
